I am so confused on all this Gulftown buying talk. Aren't these all ES's?

Its o.k. Jamie, its all good bro.

*Just a reminder to all regarding anything that falls into the territory of illegal*
Utilizing this forum as a medium to conduct illegal sales, distribution or downloads is strictly prohibited. If its not illegal, don't sweat it.

If you wanna post up screenshots of you're NDA chips and benchmark performance, that's you're kuleana (http://www.wehewehe.org/gsdl2.5/cgi-bin/hdict?e=q-0hdict--00-0-0--010---4----den--0-000lpm--1haw-Zz-1---Zz-1-home-kuleana--00031-0000escapewin-00&a=q&d=D9654). I personally love seeing whats in store for us rather than it be reserved for a select viewing audience.

There is always the "donation" of an ES chip :)

Well I would hope that none of the Overclockaholics obtains one of these illegally as I would lose respect for whoever did. We are better than that here. Overclockin ain't that serious to go to this extreme.

I'd like to sit here quietly and say "not me" but I can't, given the opportunity to play with an ES chip, I can't say I'd snub that opportunity. My apologies if I've let anyone down, but I feel I gotta be honest.:Hi:

However, forum rules reign supreme. :D

Let me clarify. Its not illegal according to any law or blah blah blah. The person selling the ES chips is not bound by NDA so they are not violating anything  Nothing about benching one of these chips is illegal. Intel may frown upon it... but who cares what intel thinks ;) I obviously chose the wrong word saying "illegal" didnt mean to stir up a hornets nest...

Trust me if it was illegal I certainly wouldnt post it in a semipublic forum which has a police officer as an admin :D

Hmmm strange. I thought purchasing, selling or possessing an Intel ES chip that wasn't obtained by the proper channels could get you a law suit put upon your arse by Intel. Last I knew they were still property of Intel.

The day intel goes after someone for "possessing" an ES chip I will jump off a building. They would have to sue literally thousands of people, not to mention how would they even know who has one? Intel cant ask for a chip back if they dont know you have one.

Selling them might get you in trouble with Intel, but not b/c of the sale. Intel could ask you for the ES chips that they gave to you back and if you dont produce them, thats what could get you into trouble. But that trouble would usually mean intel just doesnt give you ES chips anymore, not a lawsuit.

I have owned, bought and sold plenty of ES chips myself (on ebay no less), no trouble here. QX6850, E8500, E8400, etc... I wouldnt believe everything DrWho states on XS. He's blowing smoke up ppl arses trying to scare them. Also regarding ebay if Intel sees you selling one, all they can do is have ebay take the auction down. They have no recourse against you.

To each their own I guess. Oh and I don't listen to DrWho as I think the dude blows butt-holes.

Although not nearly as cool as these numbers, I was playing with my new CSX diablos I got back from RMA. Turns out they hate 7-6-5-15 but love 7-6-6-18 or 7-7-7-20. Check out this Xeon 3110 Gold medal run 1M :D My elpida hypers couldnt even do this in their dreams lol. 2.16v vDimm boot from bios @ 635mhz fsb, 1.73vNB  ...btw its @ PL9 too

46.1k PP and I didnt even load the pre 45nm bios yet... that willl yield another .15x seconds giving me...45.09k PP~~

32M stable @ 1015 7-6-6-18 trrd3 trfc60 too :D
