I wouldn't go with anything cheap for temps. I'm gonna pick up one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/UEI-Apollo-IV-DT304-Digital-Thermometer-Quad-Input_W0QQitemZ200390408428QQcmdZViewItem#payId

For run of the mill voltage readings, I just use whateverz on the shelf at wal-mart or local hardware store. (Shoot me)

I think we all know where you're headed joey :cool3: thus my suggestion not to skimp on the temp reader. Having accurate temps is a must on the bloomfield and soon to be gulftown chips.

Setting requirements change so quickly between temperatures that you wanna really nail down your temp/voltage zone. Having a temp reader that changes its mind between bench sessions on what the real temp is won't cut it and you'll be bangin you're head everytime :argh:. Not to mention the wasted DICE/LN2 or electric bill.

Don't get me wrong, a good dose of cold and some vcore will get you into the 5ghz area but once you start pushing the limits of you're chip, more fine tuning temp/voltages will be required.

Now, if you look into the crystal ball, you'll see a future that includes several pots that need temp readings and attention :ohcrap:

It'd be a kicker if you walked away with a 3 stage cascade for $100 bucks

The shop I got mine at has about a hundred of them. If you don't have any luck, I can pick one up for you and ship it ;)
