But they never met the crew of Serenity. (TV series Firefly)
Damn shame the show was canceled (6 years ago? lol yah I live in the past), and then they destroyed it with an albeit great but finalizing movie (Serenity), that sealed up any chance of exploring some of the awesome possibilities about Preacher, or for that matter just how the pilot managed to hook Lawrence Fishbourne's wife (Gina Torres)
"Take my Love, take my land, take me where I can not stand.
I don't care I'm still free you cant take the sky from me.
Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't coming back.
Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.
There's no place I can be, since I found Serenity, you can't take the sky from me..."
IF you have the chance to view this show, do not! LOL
'Nother great show Fox ruined by hiding it

Well the movie was better for Summer Glau's character. Definitely explained a whole lot. The series was a mini, only 13 episodes. But was amazing and explained a whole lot in the movie too. Like the fact that we had expatriated to another place... we had Chinese slang terms cuz lets face it as humans... we were one species heading to the stars... no doubt we would have more knowledge then just the romance languages we are currently accustomed to as English speakers.
The finality of it sucked for certain characters though was awful. Like Shepard's character being so final. The series went on about how mysterious his background was... not a Shepard (priest) at all. More about him being a government agent almost. (his ID opened doors that no one else's on the ship could have...) Definitely with what was alluded to during the series, no agent could have taken him out so easily...

Oh definitely looking forward to the remake of V with her as a lead "Please do not ask me any questions that would paint us in a negative light" Wow how Ori is that ???
Specially since it uses Morena Baccarin (from Firefly :) ) Oh wow she is a great actress with great... assets ;) lol She also played in Stargate as that girl Claudia Black's (Vala) daughter the leader of the Ori (from Stargate)
AS my Music teacher used to say, she has great.. (hold hands in front of his chest) arthritis. lol
Of course that is not the only reason to love her, she has great poise (as Monk would say) , she definitely plays the sophisticated, intellectually acute girl very well. AS a companion on that series, I often questioned the "relationship" she had (or did not have actually) with Mal, seemed so incredulous. Yet I guess that is what was the appeal.
Ugh I hate that I know so much about these series.
As Weird Al would say "She is so pretty she makes Charlize Theron look like a big fat slobbering pig"
