How the hell do you keep it from turning off every 10-15 minutes lol?

"Auto Power OFF
The meter will automatically turn off after 30 minutes if no keys are pressed during this
period. Auto power off is disabled in the max/min recording mode."

EDIT: RTFM ;)

If yours is shutting off every 10-15 minutes, you've either overclocked time, or the batteries are low. Honestly, neither would surprise me lol.

negative. It doesn't really "record" just saves the min and max.

I have used the min/max mode in the past, but I undoubtedly forget to turn it off and have to replace the batteries the next day,....so needless to say, I always just re-turn them on (x2 ea-10's) thru my sessions.

I just press the power button when it turns off, its a daunting task, I know, but I'm tough like that.

lol, yah but after benching with a crap probe temp reader, you sorta overlook any indiosyncracies of a solid temp reader ;) lol

Grabbing another jld7100... its consistent, and no friggin batteries. Wired for ac, and I'm putting in an inline switch when the 2nd gets here... Easy breezy.
