Just for kicks, I ran furmark on my gamer.. as soon as i started the test my APS started screaming and didn't stop till the test was over ... test makes the system pull lots of power I recon
Sorry the pic is so small :( Score was 10887, 965EE @4.5g w/ tri sli 285 hydro coppers at 720/1620. Test took 60000ms to complete.

Yeah that test draws a ton of power, not even folding on 4 gpus for days ever made my ups alarm go off, but furmark did every time lol

YEah when I load up furmark and start adjusting core clocks with rivatuner... my lights flicker as the slider moves :ohcrap:
Really need to get a dedicated circuit when I go back to X58 :)
LOL... your house might explode!

That is what I use to dial in GPU clocks....
Brutal benchmark to say the least

How many watts is your APS? I ran a 1500w one for kentsfields and yorksfields but when I got into extreme overclocking, the draw was too much for the APS. Also browned out two psu's.
APS is now specifically for my 24/7 system only. Don't need anymore frickaseed psu's.

I have an APC 1500 XS Back ups that supposedly uses battery power to augment line power if the draw is too much. PCP&C turbo cool 1200 PSU which seems to have survived just fine ... phwew
I have a monster Tripp Lite APS in the basement that uses a marine gell cell battery to replace lost current. Used to use it to keep the fish alive in case of blackouts, but since I have no more fish.. might as well put that bad boy to use in the computer room :D Wonder if it'll still squell then ??? lol
