Just picked one of these up,
newegg link (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233110)
Curious if it will have a problem with high BCLK/PCIE freq (limited to about 225/103.5MHz ATM I think) or should I just stick to my raptor and use the SSD in my AMD setup.

That's an excellent ssd!

I used ssds with the p55 classified with no problems or corruptions, max pcie I used = 210Mhz.

pcie overclocking...ummm it works..but not much effect...it does open up the bandwidth.

i suggest using ssd for benchies...dunno how it affects superpi32m though

Gotta raise PCIE freq to get past 222 BCLK... I thought I had seen some mentions of it causing issues with SSDs though, just want to make sure

yeah pcie killed my os drives lol, one vraptor..and some pos harddrives... all were sata...good luck experimenting... the classified had to be booted at 108mhz... the gigabyte x58 extreme needed pcie 215mhz to oc well... what chipset do you have?

x58

its the bloodrage. limited to 103.x until i do the mod...been too busy to get it done. Doubt I will hook it up tonight.. but probably should. Was going to watercool chipset and maybe 4890. Regardless I have to break down the loop to mount it on x58, rather not have to do it 2 more times in the next week. Might skip watercooling the 4890 though... since I have a few other gpus to bench...

DOesn't seem like a humungo problem if you image the os first. Corruption, replace the image in a few minutes.

the guys doing damage with the i920 are using bloodrage boards...i hope you do it good.

What software you use to image your OS? I bought a software (don't remember the name) like a year ago and tried it once just to boink my OS. Never tried it again.

Use Image for DOS. Its the greatest thing since canned beer. I use it for all my OS's including my multi-boots. Works like a charm!! Too bad you missed out ont he OCA discount I negotiated for the team a few months back or you could have got it cheap jackfruit!

:laughing::laughing: I think that's pretty close to what he's gonna say :D

Well its $29.95 which is still cheap. The one I had was Acronis and it blew bubbles. Thanks for the scoop.

Yeah IFD works great. Supes told me not to do usb to usb... and I did not listen... my bench rigs both have esata now so its not an issue anymore (my toaster supports esata or usb)

Oh and since not everyone knows what a toaster is (in relation to a PC) here is a picture.

There is a button that pops up on mine when you drop the drive in (either 2.5" sata or 3.5" sata) push the button when your "done" and the drive pops up like a piece of toast
