I love that song.
Things went pretty smooth with the help of my Romulan allie. i learned that my CB is around -155 and my cb around -115 and from what little i know thats a good thing. I can boot into windows at -130 without batting an eye. I am totally blown away by this LN2 stuff. Its totally awesome and if i didnt have to work i'd go throught this 160 liters in 2 days. I had a good idea that this chip was going to do well since it did so well under SS. I only spent about 4 hours on it yesterday but i got a nice wprime32 score and a nice pifast score. Mind you this is my first experience with ln2 and i am still learning the technique. But. i am a fast learner so watch the ...out.
btw. Running the Classy 759 and its dosnt seem to hold me back yet. But this is only 2 benches. We wil see later in the week. I squeaked out a 5th place medal in prime and some nice global in pifast with 17th. Not bad for a first time experience.

The performance of these chips are just astonishing and the pwnage to follow with your 3d benches behind this chips are gonna be sweet ;)

Nope no EVBot, all bios work on the voltages. Ran the bus up with E-leet. I get my EVBot on friday.

just a warning...eleet has some bad bugs...i recently killed my (7ghz-670) with eleet. this is the same issue that happened Jor's dead cpu.
evbot will use hardware voltage bumping...which is perfect for tweaking...and not relying on os stability at high clocks..
eleet sends signals/commands thru the os which might get buggy once received in the controller then the pwm circuit...

I remember shammy say to use the vcore booster instead of increasing vcore directly to a certain extent

Wasnt really the OS that was causing the issue more of the software IMO. It did some funky things with X58 as well. I think it has trouble sometimes with some of the bios updates/changes etc. Everytime I made a change with my 760 and eleet would lower the vcore instead raising.

first i mentioned eleet...its my first suspect...its written with some bugs in it. second i would always consider os stability. i know my ssd's are stable...but os relies on cycles from the cpu..if the cpu isn't stable then its gotta be the os..causing data corruption between the software"eleet" to the controller on the pwm.
vcore going down in your situation could also be hardware..like mobo and cpu.
point i was trying to convey is.....software clocking has some problems......once in windows....many things can happen...voltage adjustments vcore vpcie thru an application in windows is just lets say alittle to riske`
good thing there is evbot to at least bypass windows overclocking.

Advise taken. Thanks. EVBot comes friday. The only ting i used Eleet for was the QPI. Its worthless fr vcore.

ALLways cloaked and guarding your six o'clock's brothers! Make sure you look at some of my recent subs over at the bot "retail 980x, and one of 3 lightnings in the USA which actually work"=ftmfwrofl
GFDuke
04-17-2010, 06:40 AM
Well my 3rd lightning was total fail sauce and i wasted a ton of ln2 runing it along with the 980x. The thing cold bugged at anthing over -70 and would freeze up and crash at voltages over 1.35. I am definately done with ATI for nw. Looking to go Romulan GREEN ASAP. I managed to use up 160 liters of LN2 since i got it on Monday. WTF!! So im out of juice until the next delivery date.

duke think you loose alot while it sits there or not too bad?
GFDuke
04-17-2010, 07:21 AM
I dont think i lost alot of it just sitting there. pretty sure i lost more of it pouring into my thermos than i did through evaporation. i wasted alot just through my learning and i'm pretty sure the dewar wasn't 160l full. The gauge said it was 3/4 full when i got it. I called Airgas and they said that the gauges wern't accurate. But from my estimation there was no way i filled my 2 - 1 liter thermos bottles 160 times in 4 sessions. i wasn't counting though. i just poured and really didn't care. I was pretty careless. I will be better next time. No doubt.
