What are the primary differences besides the obvious pci-e lane shoetage of the Formula?

Going to have to grab one pretty soon, but if I do not need to spend the extra $100 to win then I won't.

the m3e has better components...power wise...and has a better bclock track record than the formula....

having experienced m3e and evga p55ftw.... one processor.....i could squeeze more mhz from the evgap55ftw..maybe i had shammy's bios....

ram support is better with asus ...than with evga..

efficiency wise too..

first m3e was able to do 240blck.....i guessing it should be able to hit 250+blck....this is with high multi...

sorry to inject evga into this :D

Oh don't be sorry... the point is to find the best possible board for all around benchmark results without buying every board out there...

If the classy is better for that matter I'd get that. It seems that bclk and uncore reign supreme for most benchies, so the higher bclking board the better.

Whenever I start on a new platform I have a bad habit of getting a crappy board and then upgrading later.... I'm trying to break that pattern with 1156.

 so far the M3E is winning my vote.

jor and I both were talking the other day about how we just cant get mem to clock on the classy, 2:6 is the only stable strap even relaxing read to write and write to read and tWr didnt really help and your mem speed will be key to spi1m and pifast (qpi too for pifast)

Yup, looks like I am sold on the MIIIE. I'm going to try my hand at some high-flying 6ghz action to the maxxx baby!
