Thoughts? Currently $175 at tiger after cashback for a base 768mb, or $200ish for a 1gb. It sucks there is more difference between them then the ram, why they didnt call the 1gb a "+" or something I dont get. Anyway, seems like good value. I was going to go with dual 5770s for 3x1920x1200, but the ~$100 for the display port adapter makes these look better.

Seems like they will be pretty popular for hardware points too.

two 460's will beat a single 470 hands down on a title that scales well with SLI...

they run super cool, pull so little power its almost retarded, and they just flat out haul ass for a gaming rig...

just remember 2 way sli only.

In SLI, the 1gbs beat the 480s easy too.

yes they do... very much so, and for higher res you will want the extra memory...

otherwise the 768 MB are just flat out bitchen cards....

either way you go... the 460's HAUL ASS....

I have been messing with them for a few weeks now, and for the price i really dont feel they can be beat by any margin

What I find funny is they beat the 465 too.

Im thinking of trading my AM3 setup for an i5 so I can go with these instead of 5770s.

Anybody see a review that tests the 1gbs in SLI with three screens? I dont even care if its 5040x1050 for some games. It just seems to me 2560x1600 is the end of the line on these, cause most show them being cut to almost nothing once AA is added then. Seems like the 256bit bus cant take it.

MC is having a 25% off sale of clearance stuff, so P55 FTW for $120, or a Gig P55-UD4P for $60. Plus they have the i5-650 back down to $140. Seems too good to pass up, even though general performance would be less then my 965.
The EX58-UD3R is down to about $90 plus a MIR, so might even consider that. Just the price of ram kills it.

Hey Shannon....

Anand is saying that on the 768 card the extra ram is "disabled." Does this mean the extra controllers can be re-enabled by a bios or hard mod? How fun would that be? :ohcrap:

Bought one of the EVGA superclocked editions Sunday night for my everday cruiser. Going to pick up another in a month or so.

what do you guys think, the extra shaders on the 465 are worth it?

For gaming or benching? Every review I read has the 460 1gb beating the 465 more then half the time. Plus, they seem to get between 820-850 core on stock volts, and 900+ with 1.1v.

Has anyone compared these to, say, a 285?

About the same. It really depends on res and AA. It seems for most games a single one of these (1gbs) is good up to 1920x1200, but at 2560x1600 it either falls on its face, or does when AA is added.

I just relised you can get an EVGA 470 for $300 - 13.2% BCB $260 total at tiger, making it not much more then one of the 1gb 460s.

honestly they fall between a 260 and 275 in overall performance, but will beat a 285 in some situations

anybody see how they do against the 5830

this seems to be the price point they are competing at

just saw a 5830 for $ 184.00 on the egg

Scaling seems epic from what I have read so far

But all the reviews I have seen pit them against the 5770 witch is below there price point ?

Agreed C, I think they will become hardware monsters at ta Bot

What reviews? The ones I read from anandtech, techpowerup, [h], guru3d, etc... are all putting it against the 5830.

675 stock, ~850 stock volts (~1.0v), ~900 with ~1.1v.

Memroy isnt worth clocking that far, hurts performance due to the weak memory controller.

Sold my two 470s and got a single 768Mb EVGA 460 for $130. Its a crazy card.
First try at Crysis
