Just wanted to take time to thank Kal for trying to maintain the integrity of the honest, blue collar OC'er. We appreciate it. Much respect for voicing views and ethics that some of us still share. You are truly a brothers brother. Thanks.:)

Hey Scott........ :)

I agree ... good job supes for sticking up for the average hard working bointer :clapping:

This type of stuff makes me glad I am not up at the top. Does not look like it is fun up there, Being fun is my primary/only reason for doing this. I will just remain a voice in the crowd. They can have their freebies and factory support ..... Not much of a game up there is it ? (WHAT A JOKE)

It is a shame what this whole thing has boiled down to. I am glad to see we have a stand up crew here at OCA .... and as always Classic Platforms has ,much respect from this overclocker .....

Even tho this time a few were caught sharing/buying scores, this stuff has been going on for long time.

It's next to impossible to catch this when only 1 or 2 scores were used and at different comps or places.

How do you combat 1 score being sent to another team mate or person so they get a good ranking, or position in a comp ?

The thing is about this time, the winners or now cheaters used these scores so they could make it Taipei. We all know what that means for a OCer.

Why is it that everyone went to Yang for scores ?
Becuase hes been doing this for long time and key people knew this.

Think he is the only one doing this ?

Kal is doing a great job on posting over there. its a very hard place to get a message accross LOL

Here here! :toast:

Way to drive home a point, Kal.

....as for how to police the cheating: Simply put, you cannot. The only thing we can do as a community is oust the ones caught and keep moving forward. There is almost always going to be someone shooting dirty when money or prizes are involved.

Personally, I do not care if it was best friend or my own mother, if that individual is cheating and gets caught... screw 'em, they deserve whatever they get. If you tarnish your own name and get put in the stocks to have tomatoes thrown at you, tough. However, if they get away with it (for now) then good for them. It'll catch up to them eventually.

Edit: Kal, you are truly a sister's husband's brother... twice removed and almost as pretty as me. :D

Man when I left Wednesday I knew shit was nasty, but now it's real nasty. All I want to know is what my punishment would have been for the same offense as the others. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say much harsher because I'm a nobody.

What we need for this shit to be taken seriously is a non-biased governing body over this sport. Maybe overclockers who have retired from active benching or some who are willing to give it up to grow the sport. Right now I see a ton of good 'ol boy attitudes towards some of the people. Cheating in overclocking is like using the juice in sports. Both should carry a lifetime ban!

what the hell is happening on XS, some stupid noobs made vapor step down, if knowing some1 is going to cheat is so bad then I am sure many of these top ocers have much more brewing inside them.......Now all I want is if some brave soul comes up and open Pandora's box........

total shit show there banik, really a shame that guilt by association includes him giving his opinion that it was a bad thing to do, leaving for sleep and waking up to find out that skinnee pulled a douche bad move.

I think its funny that people bring up shit about fug and vap from gooc 2009 as it has something to do with andre and those guys cheating in 2011.

Word, like it's not bad enough already. The whole FUGGER thing was played to death after it happened, it was officially accepted...move the eff on people.

Thread was deleted. Big surprise there, especially after solid proof of pre-meditated cheating was presented by Jor-El. Guess we know which side the "boys club" stands on now. Very sad.

Well the problem with Vapor is that he got him self into a NOOB position. He knew that Skinnee was cheating since he said he talked to him before he left the room. Did he tell him he will report him for cheating if he posts the score? NO he didn't!!! Instead he ran off to "sleep". In my eyes he knew about it and as a MOD for one of the biggest OC sites in the world and a overclocker himself he should have stopped it! The is no morale anymore when you get up there neither they clock for fun anymore. Its all about the number at the end and the price they can get for it. Makes my sick to my stomach. I would like to know what Vince has to say about all of this. I guess team "PURE" is not so pure anymore? Maybe it never was! Over!

Easy to slip off the yellow brick road, as a mod it doesnt' look good to be associated with that kinda stuff.

The whole system is now tainted. Its like having your woman cheat on you. Things will never be the same. You will never trust her again and even if you get a new one it will take a long time to gain that self confidence and trust that you won't get fuked over again.

I just know realized this thread KUDOS to you Mr. Scott for the support. We are all now waiting HWbot decision on the hardware sharing.

If they allow that to pass I might as well share my golden i5 670 to everyone here for top 10 places on the bot, ridiculous but fair to what Hiwa and Pippo did...

And just for the record here is when Pippo produced the results with Hiwa's cpu:
(this was admitted by Hiwa on the thread):
- APRIL/2010
http://www.nexthardware.com/recensioni/schede-madri/330/evga-p55-classified-200_11.htm

Then Pippo sent the cpu back to Hiwa and he benched it again and probably still owns the same cpu here:

sad what people will stoop to for a prize. only thing i hate to see worse than a cheater are the people that welcome them back in after the ban is lifted. i dont do any extreme overclocking, but have played in online game tournament where there were prizes, people cheat and get caught, only to be welcomed back a year later by many. most of them regret getting caught, not the action that got them banned. break the golden rule and your name should be trashed permanently. just my opinion.

This is the internet. They'll just come back under a new name and proxy their IP addy. It's a vicious circle, there is no way to stop it.

Just that, there are 2 names which if not welcomed back wud never be able to achieve the same heights
