Just an update of what the doctor has been doing

Mostly FAIL ............ :ohcrap:

Not much luck here of late. the 960- I bought was terrible and can not sell even at a 200 dollar loss .... so trowing it into my e-mailer for a life of hard labor & slavery at 4.2 GHz

The Perfect Storms are being relegated to the e-mailer as well to run the coarse of their lives at 2:12 2020 MHZ ........ to put some snap in the grinders step

650 Power pack bit it but served me well ....


Now the rebuild will be hand picked MC 930 since they are sold out of 950's and budget has no room for a 980x ..... :blush:

If you know me you also know my primary concern is a good 4.9 to 5.1 3D chip to max old cards out for boints .....

Next is Super Talnet 2000 MHz memory that form a good sorce are hypers and will do 6 6 6 18 1800 and 7 7 7 20 @ 2000 .... with voltage applied .....

Last but certaily not least a shiny new AX 1200 was on the door step tonight ....

If this beast preforms half as sexy as the packagging I should be set for a while ...

It will leave my 750 watt PCP&C Quad with out a home ....

sucks that the 960 was a pos for benching and the 950 drop in price didnt help you sell it i bet.

I have a 920 d0 sitting here I havent tested. I plan on running it the next couple days. Let me see how it rocks at like -35c for ya. Would give ya a screamin deal if its worth it.

I have a promising 920 en route as well.

My only use for it will be the 2D hardware boints. I'll be testing it when I'm done with Wolfdale. If it rocks you have another potential screamin deal.

1.6 vtt at those core voltages are going to take a toll on that chip FOSHO ....... :laughing:

but you are way colder than me so maybe not.....

1.587 core 1.575 vtt killed my B batch at -30 or so was @ 5.132 Mhz validated .... and after that it never booted again ..... (tear runs down cheek)

It is a different batch just like it say's ...

No stepping changes or anything AKA C to DO

Just a differet waffer every CPU is lik an individual though they are all different .... no garentee's but my last 920 B was beast on low volts ....

I beat this beejus out of this B batch. Think I got it from splave originally?

4.83 ambient Air validation last night... but with HTT on, I can't even boot 4.7 :(

Going to try this chip on DIce once I get the gemini pot, after that I think I will have to move up to whatever is next that likes DIce :)

Bummer Splave.

This is what the seller of my incoming 920 claimed:

"Does 4.51 @ 1.37-1.38v HToff. Did 4.72 @ 1.39v HToff but wasn't stable so in order to make it stable it probably would require 1.42-1.44ish with watercooling"

Might be lies of course, but if true it may be a benchable 5 GHz chip with phase and non-wimpy voltage.

Gotta love the voltage fear out there. My 920 C0 has been at 1.41v for 18 months on water.

Depends.. Isee not a lot of good things on a 3913, some say it is awesome...

(No reviews from benchers though)


Vcore is a variable, because lowering cpu pll and raising VTT can let you run lower vcore...

What you can run it at is what you can run it at :)

Disable turbo drop the cpu multi and start clocking.. you running 6 or 8 mem divider?
