The new Futuremark ORB has different links now. HWbot will accept the new links as long as your score is not a top 20. If it is a top 20 they will not accept the link and will not even post the submission. I submitted a bug ticket on this matter but so far they have not responded. It seems reasonable to expect a response when a bug report is submittted about legitimate scores are not being accepted.
Top 20 rankings are difficult to obtain (for me), and I risk flushing thousands down the toilet to get such a score. HWbot would not exist and thrive as it does without a lot of people taking risks like that and submitting scores at thier site. It seems reasonable to expect them to stay on top of the ORB format, which is the verification for a submission. If they are going to be a source of irritation due to bias or incompetence I may as well just post scores at Futurmark.
There are plenty of scores posted at HWbot with "insufficient verification" next to it, as if to offer the opportunity to edit the submission. In the case of my submissions, they are not displayed at all. I have no opportunity to edit them. I can't help but wonder if there isn't some BS going on here. I re submitted several times to be sure it was not an error on my part.
I overclock and submit scores at HWbot for my temporary thrill of a top 20 score, knowing full well it is a matter of a short time before they will be diminished to something less. That temporary thrill is all I get out of HWbot. HWbot needs to fix this real fast or I will no longer support thier site by submitting scores. We are making them what they are...it's not the other way around. I am supporting them, and they are pissing on me.
Chasing points is a money game I can not fully participate in, although a lot of people can and do. Don't get me wrong, I am not critisizing those with the capacity to chase the points. It's like any other competition...the fastest car is usually the most expensive and so on. The biggest thrill in any competition is when the underdog pulls a victory over some hot shot. That is my biggest thrill in this. When the deck is stacked or appears to be stacked there is no point in participating at all. I am not going to voltage degrade my cpus or risk destroying them for nothing.
So, until HWbot fixes the problem, I will be using a really powerful email rig, and HWbot can :kissbutt:
