Any of you guys see this yet?

hmmm interesting... i want one. NOW
yeah saw it over at tpu this what W1zzard said lol
i seriously doubt this can make any difference at all. vga cards are not unstable because of power delivery issues from the socket.
and $20 .. cmon ... $3 maybe and they'd still make a ton of profit
if your (evga?) motherboard doesnt work right without it, then you bought a POS motherboard that is not engineered properly

Pretty neat little deal there.

The device is actually designed to supplement the Power to the PCIe lanes. and honestly some cards pull more from the slot then they should and I have measured a drop in voltage from 12.1V (Idle) to 11.8V (loaded) with this installed the drop is only approx .02V vs .3 going to the card.... this could definitely help when heavily loading the PCIe bus with multiple high draw cards.

This can't be of any use...all the "experts" over at TPU have already declared it bullshit. ;)

I can see how this would help with stability thru benchmarks by stabilizing the pcie bus. Even with one cooky card that pulls hard from the pcie during trolls lair. "Stability" being the operative word.
Look towards the effect of pcie mhz on cpu overclocks. Again, system "Stability". Makes sense. Pricing is a bit retarded tho.

Dosn't this do what the extra 4 pin pcie power plug does on the R3? I heard that only 75 of them were made and new stock isn't just around the corner.

im thinking for the avg user no... but us that vmod cards and run 2-4 cards yes

Think it could help, As Duke said Asus boards have been addressing this since the 939 days .....
I think in this day of Voltage modding and tuners it might help out. Especially when pushing bus speeds above 115 ???
Only one way to know for sure, Are they availible at EVGA ?

Isn't this basically just for the E759, E760, E770 and all other lesser model mobo's you guys make? 4-way has aux 4-pin for this doesn't it?

It can be used on any board. but guaranteed to work on EVGA boards
all in all its kinda a lil buffer for any board that does not have a supplemental pcie power.
lots of boards have had supplemental power... Remember EVGA NF41? 680I had it....
alot of boards have had it on and off for a long time...
we just made it so you dont need to replace the board. just a quick fix to allow you to use any board and still have the benefit of the supplemental power.
More will be available in January
Honda I will get back to you soon man
