Pounds that is. Been dieting and training hard the last two and a half months and through hard work and determination I cut exactly 75 pounds off officially this morning, and 20% body fat. Anyone looking to get in shape, look at an old fashioned sport called boxing lol, it'll make you puke the fat out.

Totally amazing dude. You're dropping pounds like crazy. Seems like two weeks ago you were at -75.

Good info on the diabetese. I had never heard of that before. I thought you got type II from being fat and eating too many simple carbs. I didn't know that worked in reverse.

MMA trainging. Hmm well I know grappling is one of the hardest workouts I've done. Demands every muscle in the body to work... I could only imagine adding stand up + wieghts + cardio in one session. Well I've done that, but in totally separate time slots with meals and rest in between.

Thanks bro. My Dr was very vocal about the possibility that my pancreas may react to the sudden drop in sugar intake and monitored that really closely with a twice a day test kit. Luckily enough my blood sugar level was, is remains perfect.

My MMA training is awesome. Start with warmups, then I box with with a bit of Mauy Thai and dirty boxing (up close, lots of grappling/body work) mixed in for 2 - 3 minute rounds with a guy on the pads constantly moving, swinging and changing levels, then it's Thai push-ups, storks, crunches, finishing off with 3 minutes of grappling. Followed by 10 minutes of puking lol.

Took me 7 days to bounce back for dropping carbs. Key is to overload with protein right from the start, egg based shakes, egg whites, lean meats, fish, chicken etc...

Incredible work

What is a standard meal for you?

Thanks George. I'm on a custom high protein, low fat, low sodium, almost 0 carb diet designed by a nutritionist assigned by my Dr.

Standard breakfast would be 4 egg whites mixed with one regular egg in scramble or omelette form, maybe some sauted mushrooms and green onion tops, some low lactose Allegra cheese and a piece of pea-meal bacon.

Lunch I'll make wraps with lettuce instead of bread or tortilla's with either plak smoked salmon with dijon, bbq steak, chicken breast...all lean meats with little fat but grilling really helps that out.

Dinner I'll steam a half of a head of broccoli and cauliflower, with a bbq steak, fish or chicken/turkey breast.

No sugar, alcohol, flour, wheat, gluton, yeast, fruit, fuit juice, any vegetable that grows below the ground like carrots or potatoes and allot more than I can list.

Good deal mang. Good thing you stayed healthy. When I worked out I always had a high protein intake, but I really suffered with stamina when I would try to make a cut and loose the carbs. Either I would end up frustrated at my gym results, or end up craving carbs so bad that my cheat day ended up being a whole months worth of cheating. I guess I was more obsessed with strength though and that's why I didn't stick with it.

Pure dicipline there buddy. Losing 90lbs shows you've stuck to that diet too. Here fish cost too much, but I could just about eat steamed brocalli and grilled chicken for every meal. Only if the chicken is cooked on the grill though. Otherwise it gets old. You've proven that its 90/10 diet/exercise to loose the weight though.

My guess its more about curbing snack attacks. If you eat a "meal" every 2 hours your awake you are less likely to down a bag a chips or 2.

Its all about calories in vs calories out imo. Eat fewer calories then you burn you lose weight.

Its a simple matter of import vs export, profat/loss. If you're importing more calories than your exporting, duh, you're gonna be a fat fook (profat). But if you export more calories (exercise) than you import, you lose weight (loss).

That's a bit of a misconception because you can import more calories then you export if they are GOOD calories and not sugar/starch carbs. If your body goes into what is called 'ketosis' you replace the need for carbs, but it's a delicate balance of health because it can be dangerous. That is why you absolutely have to see a doctor and be monitored regularly. Upping protein and essential fatty acids is a must or you start to burn muscle.

nice work man! almost 100lbs is madness!

and also, just thought it would be relevant to mention that your body gets energy from 3 places: carbs, fat and protein.

carbs are the easiest to break down, so they are burned first. Now, the reason those low carb diests work is because after you stop eating carbs, your body falls back to the next easiest thing to breakdown: fat. Protein is actually the hardest to break down of the 3. (i am pretty sure rev probably already knows this XD)

Although I really cant relate to any of this, still young @ 6 ft/165 :)

anyhow, amazing work man

ReverendMaynard
03-02-2011, 02:24 AM
thanks man, appreciate it.

In my case, my metabolism is hyper fast which means carbs get stored as fat immediately. I could work out 5 hours per day and just burn the fat that carbs where stored at. When I was 100lbs heavier I ate really, really well, unfortunately I ate the wrong foods and this the case with allot of people who never have success just cutting down their portions and struggle to lose weight. Frustrating shit when society labels you as a fat slob when you never eat fast food, exercise and eat better than most people blessed with a good metabolism from the start of of life.

Thought I'd note that today marks the 100th pound lost. I feel like a new man.

Def get a board that has Software for upping clocks in OS. Asus has turbo-v and msi has control center II :D GD65 is a nice board and very affordable!

Good info , so there is room in the OS for better clocks ???

what are you using bclk or multi in software ? or both

example for the 5.6 chip

boots 56x100, doesnt not boot 57x100 (blinking command prompt equals your max multi for the amount of cores you are using) so then you increase bclk till you cant any more so 56x101.1 then in OS it will go up to 56x101.3 etc :)

I like the gd65 revster, just make sure you have some good non-hyper sticks

I got the 7-10-7 2133 ripjaws for this platform, can not speak to their preformance as they are still awaiting a board ...

I was using 2000 Hypers with no issue with the WS Revolution for the short time I had it

Probably not equitable to a budget less setup I reviewed the kingston Grey series on SB.

1600 mem at stock 1866 minimum at 5ghz. Best improvement. (same main timings). MOAR is always better though :) just very reduced increases.
