I will be starting to prep my mobo tonight for DICE tomorrow night. Hopefully I can get more BCLK than what I have already. To hit 5ghz I need 238.09 BCLK. Actully that will have to be 239 BCLK. I know this chip could be up there with the 5.3ghz/Classified combos we have all been seeing. We'll see. If not i see a Classified in my future. Pics to come later tonight.

Blue shop paper towels?? Is there a reason for a certain paper towel? Just curious as to why thats all.

They absorb and hold moisture better than regular papertowel and are pretty durable. ;)

I only had 30 minutes to go get some and get back as I promised to watch some CSI with the girl. I went to Lowe's and they only had an 8 pack which I wasn't wanting. Will be going to good o reliable Wal-Mart today after work. Also need to get a new igloo as I broke my other one breaking up the DICE with a mini sledge. :trophy:

Great 1st boot BSOD's after I used SetFSB to try to get past 230 BCLK. So I make a minor adjustment in BIOS and won't boot now. Been trying everything. Turns on then turns right back off. Reset CMOS a dozen times, pulled battery a dozen times. Lettin it sit for awhile now. Piece of shit mobo. I miss my EVGA 790 as it went thru hell but always came back.

I brought her back from the depths of hell. I started pulling her apart and the backplate as well as the mobo was frozen and covered in condensation. Parts of the top were the same. I never gone sub zero in the spring/summer as I have always done it in the winter and never had these problems. I don't know what the *BLEEP* happened but prolly won't be takin this mobo sub zero again as it is stupid. Going to start saving for the Classified. Guess I can be happy with 4.875ghz on air for now. Still prolly have some improverment in benches to do. Sux that I wasted about $40 for nothin. I had it sub zero for about 10 minutes when this all happened.

With you living in a hot hot hot area, just make sure you get the house/room as cold as you can before firing the rig up. High humidity doesn't really help either. I have read that keeping fans blowing over the socket area can help prevent condensation too.

My AC runs 24/7 here in the summer.... never shuts off! Hell, it's even running most of the winter come to think of it. So i'm sure i'll have a hell of a time with condensation.

I'll be back at it again. Just going t take my time and get to know my setup better. Hell if need be I will take my time until fall/winter so I don't run into the condensation prob again. Nothing scarier than looking at your mobo with frozen spots on it as well as condensation forming on electrical pieces! In the meantime i have been using my newly acquired everest ultimate. Look at these ram benches.
