yea no doubt, have been reading up on it since this thread, I have mixed feelings on it. Looks tight, just the whole HAF design with the ridged corners and stuff , and can you get a push pull with a standard rad in the front, hard to tell with the pics.

Don't thnk it can pass as a tech bench as they state as it would be a bitch pouring into as the flask would hit the edges being 7.25" deep

a 200mm rad up top would be epic as well though and like the hotswap drive set up in front

If you grab it hope you do a build log to reaaly show what works and what doesn't with this new design, kida an old desk top case with a lower deck so to speak .......

I've been looking at the new HAF for awhile now, but the potential downside I see is that it says it fits mini, micro, and standard ATX mobos. None of mine fit any of those descriptions so I'd have to buy a new board too.

I'm kind of leaning towards this case to build a gamer for sale

Lots of air cooling and water cooling possibilities

Lil long in the tooth tho eh?

just have to wait for it to go on sale :D the mobo tray flips over to normal ATX and the side panels are interchangeable, so it's very versatile.

Bought an Azza once, It was a hunk of shit, can't speak to the linked one, but if their quality is the same across the line just say no, not to mention that thing prolly wieghs a ton, this is a decent buget gaming case with good build quality

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139009

Plus the one I linked above at 25% off is a steal for a full aluminum chassis

Although My next grinder build will be in Godzilla if it ever gets released

I've looked real closely at that one a couple times, thinking I want more fannage though cause I may not water the cards. Also, want it big cause it may house my X79 :P

This case looks interesting for the price, can do up to 3x140 in the top and 4x120 with some modding involved from what I have read

http://www.amazon.com/CA-SW810-B1-Black-Steel-Switch-Computer/dp/B00830GINC

Availible in White and Gunmeatal as well

What do you think is lame about it?

I first saw this a month or so ago when it first came out, and thought it was a really cool idea. Never got a good look at it though before this.

First, and least important, no fans so you have extra expense. When I got my HAF I added some fans, but I didn't replace any.

Too small for an EATX mobo

Mainly, because they say it breaks down to a bench table, but it really doesn't, there are still a lot of structures in the way

Joanne is hot though

GFDuke

I probably have 15 fans around that i could throw in there. I don't own a EATX mobo and i have my Dimastech benchtable so i wouldn't use it for that anyway.

Pros... It's small, but still big enough to fit my Lightning card and still big enough to keep my Thermaltake Frio on the cpu. I tired of the conventional pc case look.

I have to agree with you on those points, I was really interested in the case until I saw the fan issue, even though I stil have all my fans around as well :P Even have 2 big ones out of the HAF

Look at Allens the psu is by the mb :P

But I still think its a nice case for the price... If I didn't have a 480 Rad I wouldn't mind having one and use my rack for benchin and not as my main rig

Awsome slogan Duke ...........

Here are a few basic design concepts Scott

Any design can be either or, differnce is standoffs or Elastmeteric insulation with bolts coming through just enough to grab onto

Mr.Scott
01-11-2013, 02:03 PM
You're a craftsman. Some of those are elaborate....and beautiful.

Here's my criteria, I'll leave the design up to you.

Need 2 levels.
Will be primarily running a 120.2 rad water setup.
I'll adapt my chiller to the final product.
Will also use for air and sub ambient colder than my chiller on occasion.
Keep in mind that I change platforms all the time. Everything from slots to current tech.

Pretty basic after looking at some of your others.
Something like this would be just fine.

10/4 .........

What type of chiller do you have ?
Custom by me. Made out of a Halsey Taylor water cooler. I can get to -20c now, but the recovery time blows. Only made it on a whim and because it cost me near zero. Would really like a SS, but it's slightly over my skill set. I'm not HVAC oriented at all. I do know a few people that are though.;)
All it takes is money.
