This is pretty much the bench table these days. Suction line is not long enough to be able to use the Dimas Bench so it's works likek this now.

http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/1826/img1186r.jpg (http://img188.imageshack.us/i/img1186r.jpg/)

Then the whole room. I just moved everything around and combined 2 rooms into one for ease of use. I haven't poped any breakers or fuses yet LOL. Still much to do in here tho., but I am close to be being happy with the setup.

mine's a mess hehe

I can relate to that. :D

I have a custom made two-"story" woodden benchtable as well, but that's for my 24/7 rig. I do my benching on top of my IKEA table, which weirdly hasn't fallen apart yet.

LOL

Yeah, I actually had a 6' long table I was using, the second shot (close up) was on that. Had room for my soldering iron and other tools as well. But all 3 of kids are living with me now, so my bedroom/office became the girls room :p

Hence the kids desk in the dining room (and by extent the dining room table) have become my main workspace. (Also the reason I am using a case again :( )

Well all this talk about a bench table made me get off my butt and build one myself! My desk is a mess all the time so I hope this will help a little.

Found some material to use.

http://i39.tinypic.com/16741vp.jpg

A few cuts and we have the top and bottom.

http://i42.tinypic.com/2iatxcl.jpg

Needed legs so I found some alu to cut down.

http://i39.tinypic.com/35ko0h0.jpg

Just a set up without bolts and looking good.

http://i41.tinypic.com/j938m0.jpg

Cutting some foam for the bottom.

http://i30.tinypic.com/20qyxk5.jpg

Top is on.

http://i26.tinypic.com/10gyxvk.jpg

Rubber feet on.

http://i29.tinypic.com/152p9bc.jpg

Top foam attached and the project is done.

http://i32.tinypic.com/2ppx91l.jpg

Now I need a picture benching for the low clock competition. :taunt:

EDIT: Some action on the BloodRage

Not xfire bridges from what I've seen. All SLI capable boards include SLI bridges though. Is it possible to use an SLI bridge on ATI cards?? :D would be nice.

No import fees. The benchtable was ~ $220 I think, and shipping was ~$99

Neuromancer
07-22-2009, 09:56 AM
Ouch.

I would consider spending more than $200 for something like that. Over $300 though ouch.

(I am a miser when it comes to parts... I do not see myself paying $200 for a case unless it really brings something to the table :) or minimum wage hits $20 an hour lol )

DrNip
07-22-2009, 10:00 AM
$99!!!! Wow I didn't think it would be more than $75 at the most. If its what I got to do its what I got to do.

Gunslinger
07-22-2009, 10:13 AM
Hell you could drop $250 on a plastic torture rack, or spend a little more for some high quality stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I would much rather drop $300+ on hardware, but this thing is more of a long term solution to what we love to do. By taking that view, it makes spending that kind of money a little easier to stomach.

DrNip
07-22-2009, 10:19 AM
$300 ain't nothin as I dropped way more on that BS Lian Li case I had goin. I just wish the shipping wasn't so much.

Gunslinger
07-22-2009, 11:41 AM
One note on the shipping though, I got the package in about 3-4 days. I was shocked when it showed up that fast.

Neuromancer
07-22-2009, 11:56 AM
Yah it definitely looks like it is worth that.

As for spending more on a Lian-Li case, you got pwned (jk, only had one Lian Li case and a rocketfish (lianLi clone) far from impressed on either both needed major modding to be usable). Yes they are well built. Something I would expect in a $100 case.

$200 and up better bring something new to the table though IMHO.
