Under the Ice for Philly Cheese
New build for Philly Cheese - Lots of pics. All new parts.
Let's start off with Big 3/4 hp condenser http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1019.jpg 3/4 hp Danfoss Compressor http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1027.jpg Evaporator brazed up http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1024.jpg Flex line brazed to evap http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1032.jpg Cap tube coming up http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1036.jpg Water bath to check for leaks http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1037.jpg Evap is pressured at 250psi to check for leaks while bathing http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1039.jpg I like to wrap the cap tube around flexline for added subcooling, then add rubber tape to secure cap tube to flex. http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1040.jpg Big fat insulation http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1042.jpg My work bench http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1044.jpg I add a piece of copper around the joint where the flexline and copper meet. This is a spot where leaks can possible develop over time. http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1045.jpg Closer look at splint http://www.under-the-ice.com/SingleS...l/IMG_1046.jpg Unit is all brazed up now and pressure testing. I have more pictures but I need a break from uploading for lunch. |
