i5-650 or i5-655K for water?

Is the unlocked multi going to help with my water setup, or be waisted? Just going to bench it for some global points, then probably sell it with the GD-80.

And assuming I can get 4.9-5 benchable with water, is that enough for some global in Spi and Pifast, or just wprime?

5ghz is doable with 32nm.....

32nm is low power versus 45nm....

lower heat..but still 32nm stability requires lower temps ....

Get the 655k. Once you have played with the unlocked multi you don't want anything else. IMHO, the unlocked multi lets you really maxmize the whole system by finding the sweetspot for memory and everything. Then just find the multi that works for that bclock.

this! QPI is crucial to these chips performing. Memory as well instead of raw mhz power. Ive had great luck with the 655k 5.0ghz under 1.5ghz valid :) your points will come in wprime and spi1m on water  Price is excellent too.

Well, just got hit with way too high of a phone bill, so this is on hold for now. Maybe next pay :(

Yah but you gotta admit the unlocked multi makes life alot better. :D Is high bclock required for crazy high QPI?

Suckos, I'm playing the low budget game right now too.

nope so many different QPI settings doesnt really matter. Great chips! I may have to pick a couple retails up :)

Your results (and the price) made me just pick one up instead of trying another 670.

Sheesh. $220 to play with an unlocked multi? It'd be weird if they didn't sell like hotcakes to mainstream overclockers.

The 875K for $300 at MC is tempting for a 24/7 use CPU, if I had the money lol

Splave 06-04-2010 02:40 AM

I hate all 8** chips lol!
