Ok, so I'm going to try and beat my own personal bests. First up is the ATI Radeon X300. So far here is what I have with it:

Doesn't want to go with W7, I'm loading XP 32bit on another drive I have though, its IDE though. Not sure how much that'll impact my benches.

With a card that old you are probably gonna want to stay on XP.

First run of the session, going to work on clocking the card, just wanted to see where I was at. WR is 757, don't know if I can get there, but I'll try. THis is 3dmark 06, I have not ran it on this card before so I'll get this out of the way first.

Don't think so, it automatically deselects it.

Looks like this is as much as that card will do in 06. Good for .1 BOINTS :laugh:


EDIT: Got the card to clock more, not sure what I'm doing differently but noticed that my previous runs with this card were at 452/250 core/mem. So let's see. Also just noticed splave has the 2nd best run with this card. Wondering if he can chip in and give me some advise. :toast:

Nope. Completely bone stock.

Well going to run 2001 now. So far 2006 was good with 480 marks.

2005 was better, but don't have the numbers now as im posting from my other rig.

2003 was worse, not sure why.

OK, here's the summary of the bench session. I still need to throw my 2nd 5770 in there and see how they do paired up. Scores are clickable for screenshot.

The runs with the 5770 didn't seem on par at all, but it was late and I wasn't going to tweak much. I'll give it another go tomorrow or something and throw in the 2nd one as well for some more 3d fun :D

Thanks bro, I was able to get all the ones with the X300 but 2003. 2003 I had to resubmit though because I had submitted under the wrong card previously and after I edit it, I still wasn't getting any points. I left it all day and still nothing. So I just resubmitted it and it gave me the points and a cup as it was 2nd it it's hardware category :)

I really want to look into getting a fast HDD for it or a SSD. I feel that's the only thing this bencher is needing to really fly!

The mods at Hwbot admit freely that there is a bug when editing your submissions. Always delete them and re-submit when making changes. Nice updates on the scores! I need to turn my attention back to the 5770 myself soon. :)

So I did good then in figuring it out myself :). I would love to voltmod these 5770's but they are the ones in my main rig so I don't want to risk it. I still think I can do better with them, but that'll happen tomorrow. I'm done for today.

Way to push it Chickenpatty. No better feeling than knowing you pushed your hardware to its limits.

Thanks dude. I know these cards have more left in them, but I'll have to vmod and stuff like that. I'll look into it. I really wanna push that x300 even more :)

vmodding isn't that bad. I still suck at soldering and manage to get working joints. Just use some dead hardware to practice one.

Well yesterday I pretty much confirmed my 2900 is dead. I'll have to look into it see if I can practice on that and maybe find a vmod guide for a x300 :)
