Stock cooling Pi run :D

Well I'm still a little short on gear, but I just couldn't wait to get an idea of what this D0 could do!

So, heres a quick Pi run on stock cooling. What do you all think?

I couldn't get anything to boot higher than this .. any higher clocks would make if freeze upon loading, and any higher voltage would cause it to have temp errors on startup :p

System: 920 D0/RIIE/Mushkin 1600 blacks/GF 6600 (i know, i know)

(full size : http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/8485/4523mhz.jpg )

I haven't benched in ages, so anything else I can try on stock cooling? Got a week till my GPU/HSF comes .. I need to feed this addiction somehow :D

Best stable RAM OC I could get was 7-8-7-18 @ 1600 (1600 8-8-8-24 stock) and 8-8-8-24 @ 1800 .. I believe I can get the timings tighter with a higher clock (7-7-7-21 @ 1700/1800?) I'm just noobish with RAM ;d

Not to bad. Nice clock on your CPU. Your RAM is what is going to kill you though.

very nice clock, nice run, with some ram tweaking you could have some killer pi times

Well, I didn't try to OC the ram much, I only OC'd it while at a lower clock .. didn't really think Pi would benefit from the RAM lol, guess I was wrong :p

I got my TRUE today .. was faster shipping than expected O.o

I tore apart my rig, mounted it up, and tried booting my system ..

Now it just reboots constantly, no video, no beeps, just powers on, fans spin for a few seconds, then stops and repeats ..

I'm not sure what to do. When I took the CPU out to clean the IHS off, I noticed one of the pins in the socket was slightly bent, so I CAREFULLY tweaked it back to its original position .. put it all back together, and again, nothing ..

I don't know what to do =/

your pi times will not see nearly as much benefit from memory frequency as tighter timings will...

Tighten up the timings a bunch... TRFC...... tread (PL) will make a pretty sizeable difference for you

Well I can't do anything atm :p Comp wont even boot .. I hope I didn't just blow 250$ =/

i doubt it.... remove the battery for 5 min and try it again... also try one ram stick at a time.

also try reseating the cpu... believe me it sounds nuts but these can help:Hi:

haha not nuts, as I've tried them .. I'll try again. I tried one stick in each slot, with all 3 sticks I have .. I took the battery out, but not for that long. I reset the cmos and all that good stuff .. and I've reseated the CPU 3 times now .. I'll take out the battery for a few and see what that does O.o

also remove the board from the case just in case it happens to have developed a short somehow...

What motherboard?

I tried all that .. still no avail =/

It's a rampage II extreme. It's on my bench, I haven't put it in a case since I installed the TRUE ..

Someone said the back plate could be causing a short, but I took that off and it still just restarts ..

If I unplug the 8pin and just keep the 24pin plugged in it doesn't restart, but still nothing happens ..

And I just took it all apart again, reseated the ram, took out the battery while I did all that, changed up the ram some more .. and I when I booted the first time, it stayed on, but I didn't have anything plugged in except the power/8pin .. so I turned it off, and turned it right back on, and again, started restarting over and over ..
