Step right up, step right up...
Be amazed, be enchanted, be mystified, be amused.... For today you will see every weirdo ever imagined by your mind and heart. Some will make you laugh. With some you will cry. But it is my hope that these talented and tenderhearted Overclockers will grant you passage to the greatest depths of your own soul and imagination. :clapping: Drop on by and share your latest overclocking endeavors. Never too small, never to big, lets do what we do and catch this pig. :confused5: I'll start it off. As some of you know, I've been smacking around the ole 1090T for a few weeks now. AMD clocking makes my brain go :confused2:. So many settings tied together. I've ran into a few issues here and there. 4.5ghz to 4.3ghz seems to be standard and solid for overclocking on water and keeping voltages under control, less than 1.55 vcore. She ran wprime 1024 without a hitch. Although timings were not optimal, 4.4ghz was the highest clock I could get it to run on water without crazy voltages. http://hwbot.org/image/1443739.jpg |
Pumped out a few PCmark05 runs this weekend. Never really ran the bench. It was a real pain getting the OS to run the benchmark.
My Sandy 24/7 machine required Windows Media Encoder 9 32bit to run the benchmark although I'm running a 64bit OS. The bench had far more issues. Needed to at least Media Player 10 on XP, or Media Player 12 on Windows 7 to run the benchmark. XP did not give me a good score so moved on to Tiny Windows 7. W7 didn't have a media player and the only way to get Windows Media Player 12 in W7 is in a bundle so.... poped in my W7 Home Edition, which included WMP 12 and installed WME 9 to run the benchmark. So much for old benchmarks :argh: *NOTE* Neither GPU is overclocked http://hwbot.org/image/1444405.jpg http://hwbot.org/image/1444404.jpg http://hwbot.org/image/1444492.jpg |
Been having some major SPI 32M issues for the past couple of weeks on the 1090T. It would take 45min to make a pass at 4.4ghz. Something was not right.
Well, figured it out today. All my issues were happening on TinyXP. Today I ran the 32M on Windows 7 and it ran like it should. Quick 4ghz clock it took 18min. So looks like it was a borked TinyXP OS. Weewh... glad it's a simple fix. Next on the agenda is load up some TinyXP (or XP FLP), redo old school OS tweaks, relearn wazza and bench me some 32M. |
Good benchin OCM.
Never understood what XP FLP was and never installed it.....does it yield better performance over a naked xp? |
wow nice setup dude!

Looking to go cold one step at a time. LN2 is $14 a liter in Hawaii, not really affordable. Need to setup an LN2 hookup :keeporder: In the meanwhile.....
Testing out the ole chillah with distilled water. Slushy Machine :) T1=CPU Block Temp T2=Ambient Temp Insulated lines and a little HEET should net sub-zero temps  Attachment 7580 Attachment 7581 Attachment 7582 |
Thinking it has potential.
