they been selling adapter cables for a long time now too..

Or Way back in the day I had a AthlonXP rig powered by a 110W and a90W PSU, I took a piece of wire and superglued it in to the top of the port on each pin 14

the only issue you may see is with some modern PSU models and tyeh protections built in you will have to load the other rails besides 12V to ensure it will not shut down prematurely.
