I have a 20/40W soldering iron from radio shack. going to head over there tomorrow to order some replacment tips for it (they do not carry them instore apparently)
Will grab some braid, and solder while I am there too.
What is that other stuff? I assume one is a trace pen.
What size VRs should I grab? I assume an assortment...
Thanks for the advice

I would grab a flux pen, soldering tools (for holding wire while soldering). VR's = 500ohm,1K,5K,10K,50K,100K. Lite gauge wire i.e. 22-26. May want to also grab a hot glue gun if you don't already have one.

+1 on the glue gun, grab some 20k's too if you can find them, seem alot of vmods require them. I prefer to use the proper vr rather than tuning down a higher value but thats just me
Sick package OC Got my little 25 watter with fattie tip rockin lol Flux is key though, not impossible without but improbable.

K OCNs volt mod sticky is very big but missing a lot.
Only want to order a little more than I need so.
7600GT (x2) will need 4 50k resistors for Vgpu and vmem
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...45&postcount=3
Face pointed out there is no OCP mod on the card... is that an issue?
Looking up the 7800GT, 7900GT and 9500GT mods next will post links... as I find them
7800GT vmod
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=210
5k+10k Ohm VR (2 0f each for 2 cards) no mention of OCP
7900GT explanation
I would need a 50kohm for hte vGPU up to 1.7v (which should be enough for 600MHz) and a 10kohm for the switching frequency. I do not see vMem yet
9500GT mod
2 50k ohms
Might have enough fan adapters laying around to cut them up and turn them into read points for the DMM

You might not even run into OCP problems. I know my 8600gt went to 2v on water with no OCP If you do OC and I im sure can work it out

Yeah some cards needed and some not. You will see when you get there and while you running you screen goes black and the multimeter to zero. OCP kicked in and you need a restart to get going again.

I ran into ocp right away on my 8800gt, couldnt even run 1.2v. Did the mod and it went 940 core with 1.4v after that

Still looking for a better 7900GT KO vmod at least something to get me in the ball park from what I read the KO vmem clocks terrible, so upping hte voltage on it to get the clock rates up is probably going to be pretty important.
Will be dicing one of each, and running water for SLI on the 2 7600GT and 2 7800GTs.

Yeah I have one of them here and will mod it as well. Which mod are you planning for your card?
