Default 775 Lives on! E8600 6.4+ on LN2! UPDATE*

UPDATE with Ln2:

http://overclockaholics.com/forums/s...2&postcount=19

Finally, yesterday I recieved my rampage formula and it was time for some dry ice action with the E8600 and OCZ D9's. Before this I knew this CPU had this kind of Mhz in it, as I was able to get it there with a gigabyte EP45 before, except that the very rough GTL adjustments were limiting the stability at that frequency. Fortunately, this board is more precise and allowed me to get nice and stable settings that I ran for quite a while.

Runs are in single channel because one of my RAM sticks mysteriously died on a re-boot at 2.2v
no LOD either, Inspector wasn't starting for some reason...

first results then pics
GPU only on water as session was geared towards finding CPU stability so freezing CPU/GPU will be far easier. Frosty550 will be in soon!

pics

thanks for looking!

Thanks man, but it really needs some LN2 to shine....01 destruction would be in order at that speed...already testing 615+ FSB for 01 stability on air

thanks guys, took me a long while to learn the beast that is the wolfdale!

and the Pot i am using is the Kingpin Venom Rev 1, so ONLY AMD mounts, and it just barley fits in between those as well. Its a absolutely huge pot (92mm square) and almost doesnt fit between the heatsinks
I got some pics if you are interested.

Yah, some Ln2 would definitely answer that question "How low can she go!"

ok here are some pics of the pot. I figure since its out of production and very old, It would be alright to show the base. Only other place I saw this pot was in a video of an AMD sponsored OC gathering where K|ngp|n and Chew* as well as other clocked TWKR's and such.

here it is in its full glory:

and here is a 92mm fan on top of the aluminum sleeve to show just how big it really is. The fan is exactly the same size as the pot. so if you want to know what I feel mounting it on intel just stick a 92mm fan on the CPU and see just how huge it is for yourself!

love this thing, holds load like no other....
