I voted for it as it simply gets the job done with no problems ...... knock on wood

Although if I were to buy one today, I would go with the MaxRevo 1350

239 AR is a great price

Is it basically a function of price, or, do you believe (and/or) know that the Corsair gives cleaner power than the turbo cool does?

Or do you like it for the quiet fan?

Please elaborate on your vote - tks
It's the price for the quality you're getting. There are better PSU's but you'll pay more for 'em.
The Turbo Cool is a better PSU but twice the price.

That was the way I interpreted that as well Mr. Scott and was just coming on to validate that with the WD.

I hope to hear from Patch and Splave as well since I know both of them use or were looking for Corsairs

In my opinion you really need to look past "the brand name" and look at the OEM. Corsair AX1200 is made by Flextronics, who normally OEM for server grade units. Bottom line the AX1200 has a few reasons why i'd pick it above anything else you mention.
1. 90% power efficency at load, and over 80% without load.
2. 29mv ripple
3. The internals are built like a freaking beast, it has server quality power, with a line level filter.
4. Not made by Topower like antec, and seriously, it's got better components than the PCP&C, you're paying for a name nowadays.
5. 7 year effing warranty and corsair's really good customer support 4lyfe
6. 100% modular

The Enermax PSUs are also quite good.

Dude, you didn't vote

Good points, but from what I've heard previously the Turbo Cool had the cleanest power (?), but, I don't gave an oscilloscope so I can't test

I may have a kaleidoscope you can borrow. Not sure if it will be much help for your testing

Look for reviews from the same reviewer. JG did not do a PCP&C so had to look at PCPer for a solid review done by both.

Corsair

PCP&C

Judging by the nice round results on the second review I am going to say they were only accurate to 5mv and those are probably identical in ripple.

checking out the first page of the review it looks like his test equipment has evolved over the 4 years since the PCP&C unit came out. Due to cap aging and such I would say the AX1200 would be better, but if you already have the turbo cool, than just use that.

Yeah, a little strange how the PCP&C results were all divisible by 5 while the Corsair were not. But, there is a huge difference in the ripple at 1200watts. I got both and so far it looks like the Corsair is winning

Thanks Neuro man

That Corsair does look like a really nice unit. If I needed a 1200w I would get the Corsair for sure.
