Default gtx-260 OCP

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...23&postcount=1

after reading that, one would assume you solder over that part and not remove it?

260 216 is going to get shit on very soon.

Yeah, he means in parallel. slam a 50k on top of the (assuming) 50k that's already there.. If you a vr, I'd try a 100k, just in case.

I wonder if a similar mod was found for the dual pcb gtx295...

piggybacked it, tuned it down to 25k we shall see what happens. I know at 1.45v 792core was max on water bugged out with any more speed or voltage.

Pickup a 260 that is built on the Ref 275 PCB. OCP was the first thing I had to mod. It crippled the card to 2D clocks with stock voltage. Got her running 810 core and 1728 shader with 1.25v so far on water. No sub-z cooling for me yet, but I think she's got some more room on water tho.

EDIT: Just tried to do some tuning. The card is acting wierd. When I increase the GPU core to 1.33v during load, it shuts the memory controller down. The memory is running stock voltage/clocks. The GPU controller is ADP4100 and the memory is uP6161. I'read the ADP datasheet, but it doesn't give any clues as to why the memory controller is shutting down. Anyone got any ideas?

I'll give that a try here in just a few.

I'm thinking a VID mod mabe my next adventure.

EDIT: More vMEM didn't help..

I remember on the 8800's that sometimes it helped max clocks and stabilized the ram if you went with lower volts than stock... I'm not sure on the why, but I know it helps if going higher doesn't help. Other than that, you might be looking at a bad controller.

just go lower ram speed, even lower than stock if you have to, and jack that shader and core up.

The GPU controller is hickuping and causing the mem contoler to trip, the GPU comes back online, but the mem does not. It is the ADP4100 causing the issues. Going to work VID mod next.

Qimonda modules respond better to lower voltages. This card has hynix which tends on only respond to lower temps and higher Cas.
