Yeah you can see in the picture, it looks like the NB heatsink is pushed down. Need a different CPU cooler.

It isnt pushed down, but the cooler is bearing right against the fins. I'll pop over to Evga's forum and make inquiries.

It shouldn't if that massive heatsink is mounted properly. (I had the 760 also iirc) It was teh coolest running NB i had used on x58.

I'll have to get some reply from Evga to know what the temp range should be...no idea if it is reading Farenhieht or Celcius.

EDIT: Yep, it's Celsius. Appears something is wacked...maybe the hsf is pushing against the NB fins and it is losing good contact. I shut it down and guess I will need to take this apart to determine the problem for sure.

IIRC some of the boards arrived with a slight bend in the NB. PITA but I'm sure upon inspection you can correct any deformity.

holy hell Rick! that thing is running smoking hot! i thought my ran hot, but not THAT hot! my 762 ran around 70C, i end up adding a bigger fan on the heatsink.

btw, i know this sounds kinda dumb but is the fan on your chipset cooler plugged in or working at all?

also if i remember right, the onboard voltage regulator or what ever people call it runs smoking hot as well.

NICE CPU TEMP

There are no fans on the Classified. I will pull it out this weekend to investigate.

The NB temp on my Classified is 65c. I think the cpu cooler is pushing on the NB fins making it lose contact. Or the heat from the cooler is blowing into the NB fins?
