rampage extreme sucks for quad cores, the power window is the worst i have seen on on "overclocking" board

the best quad board for socket 775 is the Foxconn Black Ops (NOT THE BEST FOR DUAL CORES)

the rampage extreme is amazing for dual cores, not for quads

Amazing, grrr, I wish the board I had was a different kind of amazing. So far it amazingly died under no extreme conditions. Simply disabled execute bit in the bios, hit save/reboot and it said 'Nope Supes, go suck neweggs"

format and reinstall, download the slipstream version of xp "Performance XP"

you can get it off a torrent site.

its about 128MB and takes like 15 minutes to install

+1 i actually created my own ISO of a ripped down XP install, and it works very well for superpi and most of the 3d benches....

but once you have it and your drivers and benches installed. then image it.... so if you corrupt it... it will take a few minutes to image back but you will have a perfectly functioning os without having to reinstall everything. not to mention keep a flash drive for your validation pics... remember if your OS gets corrupt and cant boot you prolly lost your validation pics too on the HDD

I've tested QX9770 with my Rampage Extreme. The problem is not fsb related in my opinion.I can run prime stable 8x500fsb with no problems. But sub zero is an other thing.Nothing more than 1.72-1.75v seems to work with quads and this board...
