Default Microsoft Security Essentials Beta

I started using Microsoft Security Essentials Beta for Windows Vista and Windows 7 (64-bit) today and lasted maybe 20 minutes before I uninstalled it.

It installs very nice and easy and is pretty fast on the scan's.

First off problems in IE8 and webpages loading very, very slowly and getting "Not Responding" all the time. I could not take it for very long.

There are next to no options in the settings besides when to run a scan. You can run 3 different types of manual scans at any time tho. No Firewall included also.

Now I am not sure if my problems was because I had Kaspersky running at the same time, that could very well be.

I am really hopeful they get this nailed down and working on par to Kaspersky so we can stop paying for these high priced Virus Scanners.

Usually running two scanners at the same time end in Fubarr Conflict. It's like they pre-program these nancy progies to fight with eachother.

Yeah I know

But I was not ready to ditch Kaspersky right away just to beta test this.
I mean I paid for it and it works good, might as well continue with it until it expires.
