I hate Vista.

I forgot you can't do a clean install with an unformatted hard drive.....grrr. At least I can't. Maybe one of you gurus can.

Kids like the interface though, and I have a spare Vista key. Don't want to buy another 7 key right now.

I'm not taking the hard drive out to format it on another comp, since it's buried and hard to get to behind the radiator/pump. I guess I'll just load XP for now...

No key needed for Tiny 7 and no issues using it I have seen. All it takes is a quick install and try it...cost = zero. ( I doubt the kids give a hoot about the bench's or overclock's...me thinks this is really your's. )

Have you seen how long it takes a rig to boot at 3.2Ghz? Who has time to sit around waiting for that crap?

Edit: On a side note, I'm enjoying this Katana. Kind of fun to play with something non-ASUS or non-EVGA again. Too bad the latest official BIOS doesn't seem to allow changing the multi on the 655K, unless I'm missing some setting. Maybe I'll hunt for a beta bios.....you know....for the kids.
