Default Anyone have a 28"-30" Monitor?

I'm thinking of getting a bigger monitor and was wondering if any of you guys have a 28" or 30"? If so how is it on gaming and movies as far as picture quality and are you glad you went that big?

I have the HANNspree HF289H 28" and am lovin it. It is great for gaming and everything else. I use to have a 22" but gave it to my mom. Every time I go to her house the 22 incher looks so small now to me.

Mine looks alot like this Hanns-G except mine is the HANNSpree version Best Buy carried. This one is also $300 cheaper than what mine was. It is 1080 as well.

Looks like a nice one, I see it has an HDMI to DVI cable for hookup.... does that handle sound and video if you have the cable to go from the MB to the GPU?

I run an apple cinema 30" and a Samsung 24". They are both really great monitors. Once you go 2560 x 1600, your done, you'll never wanna go back.

The 24" @ 1900x1200 is nice too.

Yeah I like the Apple but it's way pricey... I didn't want to spend that much on a monitor. The Gateway XHD3000 30-inch is like half the price now and I've seen them both on display and the Gateway seemed to have as good of picture, but I didn't get to see game play or DVD playback on either. I'm still not sure I really want a 30" though... They are HUGE!

Don't go with the apple, its overpriced. I picked mine up a couple years ago now. There are many 30 inchers out there for cheaper and better quality video. Just gotta shop around.

I use a 26" LG with 1920x1200 res and it's great but I am planning on getting another 30 or larger once they start rolling out with RGB LED lighting. My laptop has the RGB LED backlighting and it's better looking than my s-ips NEC monitor.

I used to use my Sharp Aquos 1080p for pc gaming using a dvi-hdmi cable. but the damn thing was too tall for my current setup and bothered my neck, the LG I use now can lower the screen almost to the level of it's base.

That's all fine and dandy but look at the resolution on it. Will look great but will suffer fps when gaming if you game. Mines only 1920x1200.

That one looks to be not too bad for the $$$ but I would want to see it in person before buying and be sure you have enough balls in your gfx cards to be able to run it for games. I would say a pair of 4870X2's and a quad core at 4ghz or higher would handle that nicely.
