Default [130429] Summer Build, taking suggestions

Summer break is coming up, and I've always been really interested in cable sleeving, case mods, and lighting mods.

Since I've picked up one of those ThermalTake Soprano case and how nice it looks on the outside, I really want to make it look pretty inside as well.

I just ordered the cable sleeve and the heatshinks, sleeves are hot red, and the heatshinks are black.

This is what I am hopping to look like

Setting up the lights on each corner of the case so lights will be shinning down/up to the motherboard.

The only problem I feel like I am having is motherboard.
Since the motherboard is already out of warranty (I think) I was wondering if I can somehow paint it to RED/BLACK like R3E or should I just pick up a R3E and called it the day.
I found a Rampage III Extreme for $140 no accessory or I/O plate

P6X58D Premium is what I am currently on right now.

Not 100% sure how much extra time I'll have since I am going to be in between school and work, this is just my after school, after work project to keep me out of trouble for the most part.

I'll have to see, since money is a little tightened up not as much spending cash on hand.

But most likely i'll be getting the R3E

I say paint it, Though you will have to mask off the little soldered connections(all of them), that heat sink you can strip it to bare metal then clear it out. Or you could dust paint it, then clear over it just don't paint the contact side.

Nothing is here yet, but since I can't wait anymore, I disassembled some of my old stuff and here is what I came up with.

This is a testing cable, as some of you guys know I really like play with SMD light strips
but by having to solder a 12v + ground wire on the strip EVERY time when i need to test it is getting really freaking annoying, so I ordered two pairs of alligator clips to be soldered on there.

(alligator clips aren't here yet but the sleeving part is pretty much done)

First time sleeving cables, let me know how it looks.
I know the white heatshink is not measured right, but other than that...
give me some feed backs.

Before:
This was one of those Molex to SATA Y-split cables, after cutting off the SATA header it left me Yellow (12v) + Black (G) + Black (G) + Red (5v)

After:
Found some heatshink tubs in my dad's workshop
Red heatshink tubes are 6mm in diameter
White I think its 4~5mm not really sure.

Close up look:

Line-in Up

Line-in Down

Line-out

NOW, I REALLY HAVE TO STUDY FOR FINALS NOW
