With nothing but time on my hands and waiting for payday to order my chip I've been working on my water cooling loop. The idea was to make something modular though the use of Koolance Quick Disconnects. This would allow me to go from
CPU only Loop to
CPU + GPU Loop to
CPU + GPU @ Sub-Ambient Loop on the fly.
Loop configurations are as follows:
CPU Only Loop:
Swiftech MCP-355 with EK Rev2 top >
Koolance CPU-360 Water Block > Swiftech Triple Rad >
Quick Disconnect > Swiftech Triple Rad with integrated Reservoir > back to pump
CPU @ GPU Loop:
Swiftech MCP-355 with EK Rev2 top > Koolance CPU-360 Water Block > Swiftech Triple Rad >
Quick Disconnect >
Swiftech MCW-60 Universal GPU Waterblock >
Quick Disconnect > Swiftech Triple Rad with integrated Reservoir > back to pump
CPU + GPU + Sub-Ambient Loop (3rd Triple Rad @ A/C Outlet):
Swiftech MCP-355 with EK Rev2 top > Koolance CPU-360 Water Block > Swiftech Triple Rad >
Quick Disconnect > Swiftech MCW-60 Universal GPU Waterblock >
Quick Disconnect >
Swiftech Triple Rad @ A/C Outlet >
Quick Disconnect > Swiftech Triple Rad with integrated Reservoir > back to pump
I've tweaked my window A/C unit to run @ a constant
bone chilling 2c/35f strictly for benching.
Lets hope I can get this chip to like the cold. If not I'll just set room temp to 20c, drop the 3rd triple rad and call it a day.
