Talking Saturday Morning Browser Shoot Out

Well I got bored and thought I would do some browser benchmarking just to see which one is faster. Now I mean faster benching, as far as faster cruising the web I dunno.

Test setup:

Intel Corei7 920 @ 4.315ghz
EVGA Classified 759 Mobo
Mushkin Ascent DDR3 2000 @ 822 MHz 6-6-5-16 1T
BFG GeForce GTX 295 @ Stock Clocks
Wireless Broadband w/ Linksys WRT54G 2.4ghz 54Mbps Router
Futuremark Peace Keeper Browser Bench

Now for the results:

Chrome

Chrome Beta

Firefox Beta

Firefox

Opera

Opera Alpha

IE8

I didn't even bother looking for an IE Beta as the last time I downloaded one, IE8 Beta, it screwed my shit up.

I was suprised it came out on top. I was thinking Firefox would. Chrome seems hard to navigate to me. Maybe because I haven't gotten use to it. I think I will give it a try just to see what all the hub bub is all about.

Does it display the forum and front page correctly?
Might have to give this a go at home too.

Dunno as I am stuck on this default theme and can't see all the dark theme stuff. Chrome seems awkward to operate to me and not really liking it. Prolly stick with Firefox as it isn't far behind. Actually using Firefox beta.

Can you break apart the results? IE Firefox and Chrome both have superior java rendering engines. I really want to know what the fastest HTML renderer is
