So fanboys were trashing Charlie about his 2% yield article over at OCF. Saying that "it was already proved to be a false statement"

Considering this guy used to write for INQ, I am not going to comment on the guys credibility, one way or the other, but that faked Fermi board is definitely interesting.

This just in, any references to Fermi in the recent Nvidia Press Release by CEO Jack Fruit Hung, are to be disregarded. Apparently, the press misunderstood the CEO's Korean accent. He was not talking about the anticipated "Fermi" launch but actually releasing information in regards to his imaginary friend "Kermi" that helps him count to 30 when brushing his teeth in the morning.

Apparently with the new "Kermi" he is able to fold the number of seconds it takes to brush the bs outa his mouth by half, bringing the total bs washout time down to 15 seconds.

Little is know about how effective the cleaning really is but we do know this CEO loves imaginary things.

That is all, carry on.

Oh that was too funny.

This is the same guy that said "How much faster can you run the Blue Screen of Death" isnt it? (In reference to the nv_______ 8800 series BSOD issues...)

Charlie got me laughing good this time. And yes, I think he touched a sore nail on Nvidias foot this time. I'm keeping an eye on the nvidia site atm to see if they worry enough to issue a statement during the weekend

Also ther are some reasonable thoughts by nordicjedi over at 411

Not sure but apparently Nvidia did issue a statement

http://www.fudzilla.com/content/view/15798/34/

Quote:
Nvidia confirms

Fermi that was running PhysX at Jensen's GTC keynote was real but the one that we all took pictures of was a mock-up.

The real engineering sample card is full of dangling wires. Basically, it looks like an octopus of modules and wires and the top brass at Nvidia didn't want to give that thing to Jensen. This was confirmed today by a top Nvidia VP president class chap, but the same person did confirm that the card is real and that it does exist.

Charlie was surely right about this one here. The card that Jensen showed and we all pictured is not a working sample. Some key people at Nvidia have promised to show us the picture of the real one. Stay tuned.
