However, you guys are missing something.
First of all JP Morgan is an invest firm. they are looking for backers, if someone wants to buy them right out, that is an option of course, it is true of any IPO.
So two things are possible here.
Better financial revenue for AMD based on increased profits.
New ownership of AMD.
the latter could be good or bad.
Imagine if some Chinese company bought them out. You would have Intel clones at half the cost.
the could be as bad at running a company as AMD has been.
Apple will not buy them. they only use cheap Chinese parts. not fairly priced german ones.
