Default OCZ Cryo-Z tuning

I have one of these and despite it's reputation it works very well and I am very much in love with it except for one thing.... It won't kick on your board until it hits -30c (there is a 2 hole plug that goes to the power switch prongs) Now this is all well and good if your CPU does not cold bug @ -30 or below. I would like to be able to mod it so it can be tuned but I have no idea how to go about it. I know this is a long shot but anybody have any ideas on how to mod one for tuning?

you need a relay and take the system out of the loop

Wire it to start off a switch, It should be set up that is has nothing to do with system temps simply on or off

I guess I'll tear her apart and take a look @ how she is wired. To be honest Witchdoctor I did not understand a word you said.

I am not fimiliar with the unit but basically you are turning on a compresor. I speculate their is a 12v switch AKA relay that is normally open and closes when system meets the criteria, probable a switch that closes when a certain temp is acheived

All you sould have to do is take those out of the loop, All you need to do is find where the 120v starts, it will then have a start and run capacitor in the loop

Bug a switch in where the curcuit starts at the 12v switch and you should be in, being retial it may have a bunch of safty stuff as well. If not fimilir with electrical curcuits you may want to take it to a local refrigeration company and have them do it for you

best of luck and from Scott's post he may be fimiliar with this unit and have an easier solution

Well I just tried to run it and now it's not working correctly. It will start the board but on reboot switches off. Haven't messed with anything yet it just stopped working. So much for single stage. Of course it's the warmest night in weeks to so no air overclocking.

False alarm it was a power supply issue. Hooked it up to an el cheapo 450w and she ran like a top. Phew! I was sick over thinking my SS was dead.
