Flipped? What you mean? Those holes on top secures the springs in place right?

I just used Kal's guide to use irregular holes on the backplate and on top I used the straight rectangle closest to the center.

I think Those are for s775. The ones Highlighted in red in the pic are the ones to use.

sorry! I meant depends on how you have the backplate mounted, pic could be used upside down as well. You have the top on the pot correct should have said look at the red dots

Ok so wait a minute

The backplate is mounted like the guide (red dots you made) but top should go on the red dots too right? I did that and pot looks a little bit shifted to the angle.

Or should I keep the backplate as the guide (red dots) and the top plate like I placed mine (using 775 inner rectangle - closest to center)?

Why does it matter what holes you use on the top? I mean as long as the studs fit throught the mobo holes who cares what ones you use on the top mount?

As long as pressure is uniform so you dont den up with a kilted mount

The rods are quite flexable. You could actually use the s775 holes in the top on a 1366 setup without any problems. I do have OCD though so I use the right holes. I would have more OCD with a crooked pot though.
