Default 3770k batch?

Wondering if the 3770k retail batch numbers are worth looking at for higher Ocing?

If i remember correctly on the 2600k's batch numbers got you no where it was hit or miss with each chip.

hey man, batches are hit or miss. people go by low voltage boot into windows at 5ghz. anything under like 1.28v for 5ghz 4core 8thread usually scales pretty high unless its a recent batch costa rica sometimes they stop scaling around 1.7v

Well i picked up a 3770k yesterday @ microcenter and im able to boot in windows @ 4.6ghz @ 1.28vcore with temps @ 48c. All the other settings on auto. The only cpus they had were Costa Rica. So seems im 400mhz away from having a good chip... Any thoughts about what it may OC to once on Dice temps?
Or the guy said i may be able to return it once and try a different chip.
