Default CB & CBB

just a real quick question
i looked on the internet didn't find anything but dose ALL intel CPU have CB and/or CBB?

i been told some Celeron don't but i haven't find one that don't yet...

also on AMD i though non of them have CB and CBB EVER!
but turned out some 939 i clocked did
so i am wondering about that as well any ideas?

Some chips do and others don't. My 965be didn't but some older AMD chips do. My celeron 352 doesn't but my 356 does. So it depends on the chip not if its Intel or AMD.

I found that on one of my 980X the CB temp would drop with each multi I raised it.

It is different with each chip.

Both have chips with and without CB/CBB.
It depends on the model and your luck ( for example some Phenom II x6 1090T have a CB some don't ).
A few chips with CB may showcase no CBB at all ( a very few actually ).
Most of the chips have a CBB however.

CB & CBB may move around ( lower or higher ) by changing the CPU PLL Voltage, the CPU active core count and/or thread count ( hyperthreading on or off ), and by changing the CPU PWM Switching frequency, and sometimes even by changing the CPU or RAM multiplier/divider.

Thats a good way of putting it....

and most of the time i have found CB to be much colder than CBB which sucks because then you gotta heat up the pot to get the damned thing to boot.

Yeah, a wide gap between CB & CBB is a PITA.

lol,

i7 965 Cbb -35C CB -115 approx (this chip sucked on cold but was great on air/water)

E8400 -70 approx cbb -150 approx cb depending on voltage

it sucked ass when it crashed

thanks alot guys! learned alot!
i saw that either over xs or ocn i can't remember
monna try get a temp gage soon so i can play with LN2 better

what is the best way to get out of cb/cbb?
i know most people burn the pot/set the pot on fire
i just undock the pot and power on the system and as soon it comes on it dock it back on and it'll be good to go but most the time i am really lucky i don't hit my cb/cbb (it's kinda stupid but i overcllock by emotionally feeling it idk how to tell people about it)

Nah dont set it on fire.... just torch the inside of it some... it heats pot up pretty quick usually however sometimes the torch will flame out and you will have to restart it a few times..... just avoid the top mounting bracket on the F1EE with the torch lol..

Dont ask how i know :(
