Default Cleaning?

how do i clean my water rig?

cuz i was clocking my 775 setup, and now it's down so when i was taking the water loop and there is like a layer of white stuff in it looks nasty as hell, so i took a cotton tip and started to scratch it, and that white layer turned out GREEN!

what should i put in a water cooler setup to clean it?

Take everything apart

Clean all copper blocks with ketchup

Use new tubing

Use DI next time and a few drops an anti-bacterial like PT Nuke

Thats it

One thing I can suggest is if you can do it (Or haven't already), install a drain valve to the system as I've done for maintenance purposes.

I have one in the lowest part of the system's tubing and that makes it a snap to drain the coolant out.
As for the green stuff, you can use a drop or two of bleach if you want but be careful since bleach is corrosive to metals. I've used it that way with mine and so far, no issues with pitting or the like. All it takes is a tiny amount to work and also be sure to change the water on a regular basis - The drain valve is very useful for that too.
You can also find a biocide that works such as what's used in aquariums to control issues with algae and other problems like that. Be sure whatever you do use with those won't affect the metal parts of your system.
Use sparingly and it should be OK.

Forgot to mention that CLR can be used to remove mineral buildup in the system too but like the rest, use sparingly and only when cleaning, not as an additive you'd normally want in the system when running it.
I'm not aware of any problems with it reacting to metals or other materials you'd have in your system but check that before using to be sure.
