currently, there are really very few new options in the 1200w range that are on the market. We recently reviewed the corsair ax1200 and that unit easily swiped the crown of best 1200w unit on the market not just because of this malaise but also because it was certainly the best 1200w unit on the market at the time. Today though, the antec hcp-1200 is here and after everything we have seen it represents more than a legitimate contender to that crown of best 1200w unit on the market as the hcp-1200 seemingly matched the ax1200 stride for strideand pulled ahead in most tests.

I trust johnny, if he can say the antec isnt as good with a giant antec banner add on his site than the AX must be better imo.

Voltage regulation is just a tad tighter on the AX-1200 and Corsair offers a 7 year warranty versus Antec's 5 year warranty. Add to this that the Antec looks like it's going to be a tad bit more expensive when it hits the shelves next month. That's not to steer anyone away from the Antec. Often, street prices are lower than MSRP's and Antec, as well as Delta, have a long standing repuation for delivering top quality units that last.
