Default Prefered solder

Anyone who does voltmodding have any preference in solder, or do you just pick up stuff at radioshack? I'm having troubles getting small beads. (and i have a nice hakko 936-12 station and a few tips that i cannot get a small bead with. Dunno what heat to set it at either, seem to go too high if anything.

I use RadioShack .015"-Diameter 62/36/2 Silver-Bearing Solder + a $5 Walmart soldering iron and it works Grrrrrrreat!

i've probably been using to heavy gauge of solder to get the bead small enough. I shall head to the shack tomorrow.

Tru dat. I always tin my tip and my wire or VR legs, etc.. I usually don't even need to use solder when the connection is made.
