Default Nice N New Shiney Lil Guy

Got a review unit in from CoolerExpress today (big thanks to them!). Single Stage, their new improved design for quad+ core chips. Also has their new clear acrylic mounting system supporting 1366, 1156 and everything else you would expect.

Any ideas what categories I should review the unit on?

I was thinking: packaging/overall looks, ease of installation/manual instructions, and of course overclockabillity on 3 different platforms (775,1156,1366). Any other suggestions?

Some quick n dirty pics...

In the upcoming weeks they will be sending me a new concept unit for testing also, I will update you guys as I have more info. (I think it maybe a dual GPU cooling unit)

Very cool of them. You got the specs on the internals used? Sdumper says they make units with top notch quality.

O.o
I wanna see the evap head mounting surface, it looks a bit banged up from that angle. Other than that, shazaam, it looks like a slick ass quality package.

Yea I would be looking at a parts break down from condensor to evap to compressor and metering type

Load and idol temps at set parameters

say

4 Ghz

4.5 Ghz

5 Ghz

and max clocks

I would also see what the amp draw and compressor temps are as well

Well so their website says....
"Provide -44~-48 °C super and powerful power of the cooling effect and high load ability power reaches most depth cool-off effect. "

I know its a 3/4 HP compressor... not too much other info. I have asked some general questions of that nature already today, so I am expecting an answer soon.

I just looked it over, and everything looks perfect. Must be the reflection and lighting playing a trick on our eyes in that pic.

Great ideas! Thank you

I have already asked them what type/model # of compressor they used and what they tuned the unit for.

Thats similar to what I was planning

Well I have now the justification for buying another piece of equipment Amp meter on the way. I will also measure with my fluke the compressor temps!

Great suggestions I really appreciate it (rep'd!)

LOLW Wouldn't that just be the same as "unloaded evap temps" heh heh

that is a pretty slick looking unit. Cant wait to see the review...

A subjective opinion about noise would be nice (louder same as a in window AC unit?) Or something of that nature.

I looked up sound level meters on google and even the $500 dolalr ones only go down as low as 30dB.. so not sure it would make a good investment. Anything under $500 (all the way down to $15) seems to be good for 40-120+dB

Maybe there is something else I am missing but most fans says they are under 40dB, and those are not exactly quiet.
