Crysis is just getting started
Default ASUS ROG MARS Worlds First Public Demo at Assembly Lanparty

Quote:
ASUS ROG MARS consists of no less than two NVIDA Geforce GTX285 GPUs (648/1476MHz) and 4048MB of GDDR3 memory (2304MHz) on a 512-bit per GPU bus (the reference designs uses only 1792MB with 448-bit per GPU). This makes ROG MARS without competition the world’s most powerful graphics card, yielding an astounding 20-75%* performance improvements in terms of single card performance compared to reference designs. The ROG MARS features an improved thermal design to be able to handle the extra heat generated by the two powerful GTX285 GPUs. Compared to the reference designs it has 65% extra heatpipe coverage with a 20% improved heat dissipation rate.

The ROG MARS will only be available as a limited edition. 1,000 units will be manufactured, with each graphics card assigned a unique serial number – Making it a true masterpiece of power and performance. Currently 15 pcs are allocated for the Nordic Countries. Recommended street prices are 14 600 SEK, 11 400 NOK, 9700 DKK and 1250 Euro.

Modern games like Crysis use very high detailed textures and 3D engine properties that require big video memory, as well as powerful GPUs. ROG MARS is equipped with both of these. That is why ASUS at Assembly Summer 09 in Helsinki combined two ROG MARS to create a Quad-SLI setup with 4 NVIDIA Geforce GTX285 GPUs and 8GB of GDDR3 memory (!). The system used to run the powerful combo was a liquid-nitrogen-cooled Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition on ASUS ROG Rampage II Extreme. This configuration is the first in the world that could run Crysis in 2560x1600 on the absolute highest quality settings at a constant 60 fps gameplay (FPS roof limited by vertical sync).

On top of this ASUS brought a world class live overclocking show to Assembly featuring ROG MARS, ROG Rampage II Extreme and Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition. Resulting in the highest 3DMark Vantage Extreme preset score to date set with a commercially available graphics card; X26293 points. On top of this ASUS brought a world class live overclocking show to Assembly featuring ROG MARS, ROG Rampage II Extreme and Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition.
