Way to go kiki!! Way to grind those last mhz out.

kikicoco1334 10-30-2010 07:25 AM

seems like i am approaching the max clock it's going to get on dice...
it's not cold enough i think - when i just put dice in it and let it sit there for like a few min and then turn it on it'll hit higher clock...

i just looking at the validation and seems like the voltage is way lower than what i sat at
http://valid.canardpc.com/cache/screenshot/1455359.png
in my bios it's saying i put it at 1.85v but in the monitor page and cpu-z it's only showing 1.752v

kikicoco1334 10-30-2010 06:18 PM

anyone know why it's doing that at all?

DOM 10-30-2010 06:53 PM

most mb when reaching the higher volts you get less then what you set unless you hard mod them

like my pb5 deluxe is like that on the max is like 1.75 and only goes shows 1.65 but since i hard modded it it shows 1.75 and i give it more on the vr

but whats the max vcore on your mb in the bios ?

Not to sound like a n00b, but have you tried dropping CPU multi to see if it was the chip?

Oh yeah DOM is right too if your board does not have LLC.
Some boards on 775 had as much trouble with vDrop as vDroop if I remember correctly.

i max out at 1.850V
i have to hard mod my baby for it to be a 2.0v board ...

how do i get it to LLC what ever

i'll do WHAT EVER it takes to get 8GHz

DrNip 10-31-2010 03:42 AM

You need LN2 if you want more.

real quick question...
should i or should i not just leave my pot mounted?
cuz it's so heavy and is that going to damage the board if i just leave it mounted?
cuz i really tight the screws REALLY tight!
