Just snagged a 5770 from Craigslist for some hw boints :)

Splave 09-17-2010 04:18 AM

benched some 920 this morning :) did okay, reallly likes pci-e on the r3 e

I was jacking some Redonkeyless and 980x action tonight but Fermi was "Redonkeyless" and did all sortsa crazy shit so I worked on my cpu clocks but I think I was a lil light on IOH Vcore. Either way, had to shut down, was running too long and frosted all over, thx fermi.

I'm up to 6030mhz 6c6t for 3D03 @ 1.72vCore. What kinda nb volts you folks been giving above 6ghz?

Splave 09-17-2010 04:28 AM

I usually am around 1.45v kal :) 6ghzs 3d is no small feet especially with chips of late

the 920, I was pushing 248x21 at 125pci-e speed...then tryed 130 hit 255x21 but get ntfs bsod's think my vertex 2's are crapping out. Was just thinking I should run off the marvell controller next time right? thats not affected by the pci-e mhz correct?

Wowsa, I keep IOH around 1.25-1.3v, mebeh I needz to up it!

That is SICK pcie speed, I think you are right about running the other controller ports for HDD when pushing pcie.

Splave 09-17-2010 04:49 AM

helped with pifast atleast :)

33x188 - Bumped vcore only
1.878 vcore
PASS

33x190
FAIL ERROR in computation

33x190 - Bumped PLL down
1.601 CPU pll

Conclusion, pump the ICH voltage 1.55-1.6v ICH and lower the CPU PLL, even down to 1.55v CPU PLL.

Blasting ram voltage did nothing for me, just caused errors. Hope this helps someone

Patch 09-17-2010 05:15 AM

Kal, I've tried 1.25 to 1.6 on ioh and it seemed to do best at 1.35 to 1.4 range.

My 920 arrived yesterday so I'll be joining you soon Splave.

But I prepped the REX last night with a NB pot so will be doing that first......trying to decide whether to freeze the RAM too for 01.....

Off to Monterey and Santa Cruz for a few days. Benching upon return.
