never can compete w/anyone here but i would love to post something in this competition...just built my work bench...so proud of myself LOL...no just gotta fix my rig...and...hopefully i can post something before the contest ends....not sure what is wrong with my rig...it keeps shutting down a few seconds after i turn it on..going to put on the thor's hammer later tonight so hopefully it will work. I ask as I'd like to post a singe gpu score, but have alot on this week, but will find the time if I must, but if thats not a hard deadline, I'll hold off.

Yes, Deanzo, I'm glad you noticed the "ish" on the deadline. I purposefully left it as "ish" in the event more than a few overclockers ran into issues that would require more time for hardware aquisistion/repair/rma or just life interuptus. We're now a full week from the 12th and this is where the deadline would get firmed up.

If I recieve a pm from each of the top spot holders for Dual and Single card categories requesting or agreeing to push the Deadline back a week and agreement from second place holders, I'll push the deadline back a week.

Those wanting to push back the deadline should garner support from the place holders thru private messages. If I don't recieve pm's from 1st & 2nd place holders within the next 24 hours, the deadline will be set in stone @

Of course your 4th or 5th best ;). I just want somebody to post a big single card score so I can see what my goal is. The dual card comp has already exceeded the scores for vinces competition. :eek: I take it those aren't a good reference for single card either.

Well we had a few people bail after the big dual card scores were posted. 2Chesapeakes is away from home so he can't post scores to compete, and I guess everyone else is either having troubles matching the scores, or just don't have the time. Just a guess. I know I'm having trouble finding time to bench s775 for this, but it will be done. I will also post up my best score from the first session to hopefully motivate people with a big enough single card score to be worth trying to beat.

Conveniently I don't have any RAM still or else I would be up in it. :(

My 775 boards are crap so i'm using my i7 rig.... can't get a second card on it cause of the way the board is layed out and how the back support rod on the tech station is in the way, and I don't have a short SLI bridge to put them side by side using the second slot. Besides.... with some of these guy's using pots on their cards for cooling I don't stand a chance anyways LOL... but i'm still trying!

Actually if your 790i will play nice, you could put up some very respectable scores, but you are fsb limited with your quad. Plus with the cpu limit, you can get really close to the big boys with the perfect run.

Sure.... Just installed my second 280, I found a flexable bridge. But for some reason i'm getting worse scores with two cards than I did with one.... and thats with the same OC settings and LOD tweaks and all.

Thats what I was thinking about doing.... I still have another 280 to try out also. I was wondering if I might have had a bad card when they were all three in my desktop because of performance issues. I just always felt like I should have been getting more out of them.
