Will suggest a 5870 since the 5970 will fall under the category of dual GPU's, and it still wont be able to compete for global points with all those multi card setups, and the rev 3 is gonna be live by January.....Earlier I was also thinking of picking up a 5970 but now I will wait till the weight age of global and hardware points is clarified.....

Interesting stuff guys. I might just wait to see what and how the bot scores the 5970's and by then the prices should at least be at MSRP or lower.

Let me clarify my question. If you were to use a 5970 with a 5870, how would you enter your bench post in the bot? Which hardware category? Furthermore, does a 5970 with two 5870's=quadfire? and how would this config be entered into the bot?

I dunno if you could do that. At least I have never seen it done.

Looking at the screenshot of Richbastards Revision3 Hwbot engine, it appears to be seperated into cat's, 1GPU, 2GPU, 3GPU, 4GPU.

Wprime is also seperated into cat's. 1CPU, 2CPU, 3CPU, 4CPU, 8CPU, 16CPU, all the way to 64CPU.

I wonder if we will have to change our previous entries or if the the Bot will for us?

That's a million dollar question. My guess is that we should back up all of our entries because we've all seen what happens when the Matrix scrolls cantonese. :keeporder:

Be prepared for if we have to change them as the douches will come out and be "report an entry" happy.

This is still a great question..I am sure the 2 will work together...Just like people ran the 4870 and 4870x2 but how would you put it in Bots now?
If they eventually count GPU's then it won't matter but how is it done now???I might want to try this and don't want to put down 2 5970's (4GPU's)...

When rev3 kicks in I am sure there will be no changing...???

I have the asus 5870 and this is a great idea but the question above needs researching...
